Dr. Annalisa Bracco (GA Tech) and her students from the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Georgia Tech; Sabrina Grossman, Marion Usselman, and Will Jimerson from CEISMC; and Emily Davenport (ECOGIG outreach staff) brought the Ocean Discovery Zone exhibit booth to 7th grade students at Cowan Road Middle School, in Griffin, GA on Thursday October 20th, 2016.
They engaged with students using teaching modules developed in collaboration with CEISMC. The modules' content are based on ECOGIG research, specifically the impacts of hydrocarbons on deepwater ecosystems (corals in particular).
