Purpose of cruise: ECOGIG researchers will survey the ocean floor using two autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV). These two robots are highly specialized vehicles that survey the ocean floor using acoustic and optical sensors to paint a detailed picture of the bottom morphology, the sub-bottom structure and the biological habitat around ECOGIG's main study sites.
